Automatic gear generator

It would be extremely useful to have a utility whereby simple solid models of spur gears, helical gears or bevel gears can be generated given basic geometric parameters.

Also like the syste to support chains and belt systems. As a motorcycle manufacturer, this would be killer for me. Now I have a friend with Solidwork create the files for me. Not the most friendly.

I too would like constraining ability within the assembly mode; I would also like there to be an ability to calculate the Ratios of 2 gears meshed together; plus the ability to calculate the final Ratio of a cluster of gears such as in a transmission all the way down to the differentials. In other words it would be able to calculate the final Ratio starting from the motor pinion thru the tranny and transfer case and down to the diff ring and pinion (final Drive Ratio).

this would be a huge help especially if could define a clearance value and auto constrain to the correct placement. The clearance value is to make 3d printing with moving parts easy.

This will be a huge disappointment, unless you can constrain the gears to work properly. Like you can in solidworks

I would like to see Gleason standard spiral bevel gear generation and Gleason standard hypoid gear generation; as well as helical gear generation.

I do a lot of engine designs, so a gear generator with both 14.5 and 20 degree pressure angles would be helpful
