Anchor All - Parts and Sub-assemblies
An imported Assembly STEP file is unconstrained and it is necessary to Anchor all the Parts and Sub-assemblies to stop them moving while you work on the model. This is a tedious process when there are many Parts and Sub-assemblies. It would be great to be able to "Anchor All" and "Anchor Selected" rather than Anchor individual Parts and Sub-assemblies. This would also be handy for “Hide”, “Suppress”, ”Show Reference Geometry”, Delete”, and “Make Flexible”.
In Alibre Design 2013 it will be possible to Shift select all components and apply the following assembly commands to all selections:
*Hide
*Suppress
*Show Reference Geometry
*Delete
*Make Flexible
Many of these commands could not be simultaneously applied to multiple objects in earlier versions of Alibre Design.

This would be greatly appreciated especially with the make flexible and the import step files option

I have desired this also. I would also like to see something similar for sketch constraints, maybe a RMB context sensitive menu; delete all constraints, suppress all constraints, apply all constraints, lock all free elements, etc.

This feature exists in all of the CAD packages and we want to see this in Alibre as soon as possible. It is not possible to disaggree to this feature. It is very tedious task to select the parts one by one in order to anchor them.

I have often wished for this little shortcut myself.

This would be handy for regular assemblies, never mind just STP files. Might prevent those odd happenings where parts fly off all over the place when a 'precise placement' operation goes haywire and the 'undo' option doesn't 'undo'.
