isometric dimensions
add capability to pull accurate dimensions off isometric views, add alignment options for resulting dimensions, i.e. with axis, plane, face, etc.

I would like to emphasize my comments from back in 2009.
The feature is still needed for the same reasons as before.

I learned in drafting school an isometric drawing X & Y axis are 30 deg. and Z is at 90 deg straight up. I was wondering why AD did not follow this rule.

Basic stuff people. The dimension should reflect the model. Why the isometric is not faithful to the model is beyond reason. That is the reason solid modeling is used. You create a real world part or assembly. How the 2d is screwed up enough to abandon any association with the model is beyond belief. I rotated the part, and the dimension changes? You gotta' be kidding.

This is a crucial feature for a useful CAD program.
- Non Technical People can understand iso view dimensions intuitively - no need for a blue print reading class. Perfect for manuals, data sheets, etc!
- In a lot of cases iso view dimensions are much clearer and communicate the requirements more efficiently than conventional view dimensions.
- AutoCAD LT can do this and it is not even supposed to support 3D! I know this is not a reason to add the feature, but it is a reason to be surprised that it is missing.
