Thanks for putting this in here! Got 2012 and noticed it when I was drawing today. AWESOME.

The existant workarounds for this do not cover all of the instances where hatching is needed. In my opinion, the lack of this feature is one more reason that Alibre is not my first software choice when I begin a CAD design. If I'm eventually going to have to open another program to "finish the job", I may as well start in that program.

Cannot do Drawing presentations with AD - No basic 2D parameters built in for this. Currently using TURBOCAD and give the credit to them for presentations although developed in AD, export via Stp and import in TURBOCAD which takes it in like a piece of cake.

Please, please, for heaven's sake. I need to be able to fill an enclosed drawing feature with hatches. Doesn't even have to be the part itself; I'd be happy if it was a sketch feature on another layer. I don't mind constraining shapes to the part edges, but hatching by hand is a MAJOR drag!

ChiknNutz is right. Amazing this is missing in year 2011.

Good idea, didn't [yet] know it was missing!

Hatching manually is extremely time consuming...especially when creating custom symbols or illustrating features in a model that cannot be done in 3D(demarcated areas on floor layouts....etc)...if this feature is available in Solidworks and AutoCAD, it should be available in Alibre....IT IS ESSENTIAL!

Definitely a must!
